Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register?
No. Vidma is completely free and requires no account. Just enter a name (or leave it as Guest) and start a call.
Are my calls private?
Yes. Video and audio are encrypted in transit using DTLS-SRTP between participants and our media server. Chat is relayed through the WebRTC data channel and stored only in your browser. We never record calls or store call history.
How many people can join a room?
Up to 20 participants per room. For larger meetings, contact us.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Vidma works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets through any modern browser. No app required.
Is Vidma open source?
Yes. The full source code is available on GitHub under AGPL-3.0 license. Self-host it, modify it, or contribute back.
